Wolverine Origins is the title character's second solo ongoing comics series published of course by Marvel Comics, beginning in the summer of 2006. It essentially revisits how Wolverine came to be and how he discovers that he has a son named Daken who has been brainwashed and made a living weapon by the villain Romulus, the man behind Wolverine's own brainwashing. Wolverine makes it his mission to rescue Daken and stop Romulus from manipulating or harming anyone again. Issue #41 starts the five-part story arc, "Seven The Hard Way.".

was a 14-issue limited-series title published by Marvel from September 1996 to October 1997. This title retells the origins of classic Marvel characters. Typically the origin and some of the subsequent adventures are retold - all with new art and dialog. The art is highly stylized, some would say even cartoonish, in the manner of the 90's Spider-Man TV Cartoon Series. The adaptions are essentially true to the canonical facts, albeit somewhat compressed.

Not to be confused with the popular series, nor last year's five- issue miniseries, is its own series that deals with the story of one classic X-Man per issue. Each issue is standalone (one-shot) and centers on the super hero's first manifestations of his or her mutant superhuman abilities and the emotions that follow the development. With heavily plot-oriented or partially-explained origins for many X-Men characters, sometimes the unique, emotional aspects of a character's intro gets lost amongst the story's twists and turns and X-Men Origins aims to remedy this. The stories are heavily character oriented, focusing on the emotions and trauma involved in a young teen facing the consequences of developing mutant powers in a mutant-hating world, yet stay as close as possible to the characters' official histories, with surprisingly little "ret-con (retroactive continuity)." Each one-shot with its own unique, gorgeous artwork. Thus far I have counted eight Origins issues, the latest one being that of Cyclops (if I'm mistaken by all means please PM me). All are high quality Minutemen scans.

+ G.I. Joe Origins #1-4

is a comic series published by IDW Publishing starting February 2009. It was originally intended to be a five-issue miniseries but was expanded with issue #6 to include other team members. It is penned by G.I. Joe comic legend Larry Hama--for the uninitiated, the man who basically created the G.I. Joe comics universe. The series will explore the formation of the Joe Team and the personalities that make up the team. This IDW reboot has been consistently getting top ratings from reviewers who grew up on the G.I. Joe Marvel comic books (1982-1994). Issue #5 features Snake Eyes in action, infiltrating Chimera's underground base and coming to the aid of his fellow Joes. Judging from the rave reviews from G.I. Joe fans, making Larry Hama the permanent writer for any and all future G.I. Joe series would be the best move IDW can ever make.
