"Three-Oh-Five" is the second album Ottmar Liebert is releasing in 2014. Its counterpart "Bare Wood 2002-2012" is quite different, yet both recordings feature one melody that bridges the two together despite their contrast. This album is entirely acoustic, featuring more electric guitar than any prior Ottmar Liebert recording.

With "Dune", iconic guitarist Ottmar Liebert and his band, Luna Negra, deliver their haunting southwest border-country sound. The funky and contemporary flamenco album brings listeners on a voyage through a global landscape. Their smooth mixture of acoustic guitar with gypsy accordion, electric bass and percussion is a poetic masterpiece. The diverse recording transforms from the sensual “Smoke (Rising In Spirals)” to the upbeat “Sand (Apophenia)”.

After touring Japan last fall with the new Luna Negra trio, everyone realized this was a special group of musicians. "Instead of crafting the songs in the studio, one track at time, we decided to record the group playing together as we would on stage, says Liebert".

Breaking new stylistic ground, the 1993 CD The Hours Between Night & Day finds nouveau flamenco guitarist Ottmar Liebert combining the intimacy of the nylon-string acoustic guitar with electric musicianship. Spanish flamenco, the signature sound so strongly associated with Liebert and Luna Negra, is still featured prominantly on The Hours Between Night & Day, perhaps best illuminated on the Spanish language Marvin Gaye rework "Ten Piedad De Mi". This fine CD also includes two bonus tracks and a cover of the Peter Green classic "Albatross". Nominated for a 1993 Grammy.
