Wild Beasts are set to release new project 'Last Night All My Dreams Came True' on February 16th. The band are set to call time on their career next year, announcing a final flurry of live shows.

Off the Rak: The Singles 1975-1979 collects all of the singles released by the British glitter/glam rock outfit for Private Stock and RCA Records after their split from Rak. Fans looking for early classics like "Tiger Feet," "Cat Crept In," "Dyna-Mite," and "Rocket" may be disappointed (2005's Rak anthology A's B's & Rarities would complement this set nicely), but the late-'70s were kind to Mud, producing enough quality material like "Show Me You're a Woman," "Shake It Down," "L'L'Lucy," and "Lean on Me" to warrant such a thorough overview. Despite coming off as a single-disc version of 2004's two-disc Time and Again: The Private Stock Collection, Off the Rak dutifully serves up the goods, trimming much of the fat from previous explorations.

It's a challenge to make a bio of Prog bands like RAK from Switzerland, they have a good website full of photos and links to reviews (In German) but absolutely no information about the history of the band, influences of the musicians or anything that could help people to know them better, something that Progheads love to discover, so this bio will be short:The band was formed in Switzerland in the XXI Century and play a melodic form of Symphonic (At least they have samples) the band is formed by the ex THONK member Mark "RAK" Grassi in the keyboards, Dave Thwaites (aka Zoz) in the vocals, Mike Liechti (Drums), Sam Siegenthaler (Guitar), Tobias Reber (Touch Guitar) and Silvana Trepp in the violin.Their only release is the conceptual "Lepidoptera" (2004) which is in the borderline between Symphonic and Neo Prog that presents influences from Genesis (4 men era), Marillion, The Flower Kings and Spock's Beard but with a totally different and very modern atmosphere, something I can't deny is that the approach is very original.

While the packaging on this catalog presentation of Hot Chocolate's first eight recordings for RAK is handsome, it is strangely deceptive. Despite the box with photographic representations of all eight covers, the CDs are actually housed in a single four-disc jewel box. As for the music, there is little to argue with. This box contains brand-spanking-new 24-bit remasters of the RAK catalog – a creative, commercially (as well as critically) successful run of hit singles and albums.
