All tracks are in MONO including Heart Of Stone. It should be noted here at this point that the original mono recordings were "electronicaly re-processed" into a bass/treble channel separation when stereo recordings had become the standard in the late 1960's recording industry. This is NOT the case here and probably fundamentally responsible for the overall enhanced sound presentation. Originally recorded mono master tracks are now heard in their native recorded format employing the latest in digital transfer technologies. Note that this is the track list for the original Decca UK vinyl LP release of this title which is sort of a combination of US "December's Children" and "Out Of Our Heads". Also note that is does not include the mega hit Satisfaction.
Early Stones recordings don't get much better than this. Firmly established as celebrities, the band began to use the … Full Descriptionpandemonium it inspired as an artistic source. Nowhere is the band's initial reaction to fame and music business drama more apparent than in the humorous, mocking "The Under Assistant West Coast Promotion Man," in which the Stones effectively skewer the sleazier side of the record industry. Naturally, this will always be known as the album that features the original version of "Satisfaction," which would remain the band's signature tune throughout its career, but that's really just the tip of the iceberg.
Recorded during their American tour in late 1969, and centered around live versions of material from the Beggars Banquet-Let It Bleed era. Often acclaimed as one of the top live rock albums of all time, its appeal has dimmed a little today. The live versions are reasonably different from the studio ones, but ultimately not as good, a notable exception being the long workout of "Midnight Rambler," with extended harmonica solos and the unforgettable section where the pace slows to a bump-and-grind crawl.
"The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time" is a 2003 special issue of American magazine Rolling Stone, and a related book published in 2005. The lists presented were compiled based on votes from selected rock musicians, critics, and industry figures, and predominantly feature British and American music from the 1960s and 1970s. From 2007 onwards, the magazine published similarly titled lists in other countries around the world.

In their earlier incarnation as 1-2-3, they had a now-legendary residency at the Marquee club in early 1967, directly influencing many important bands such as Yes, The Nice, and King Crimson. They were managed by Brian Epstein and Nems, but this association ended shortly after Epstein’s death, and the band was signed by Terry Ellis to the fledgling Chrysalis empire…
Talking Heads' 30th anniversary is commemorated in typically artful style here, sonically upgrading their eight, era-defining albums via bonus-packed Dual Discs and encasing them in a molded white plastic box intricately embossed with the band's song titles. Each disc contains complete album tracks and bonus cuts remastered in High Resolution Stereo on its CD side, while the DVD programming on the flip offers up the audio tracks in expansive new 5.1 Surround Sound mixes, with all of the sonic upgrading personally supervised by Jerry Harrison. Those long overdue audio improvements alone would make it an attractive set, but fans of the band will find its wealth of bonus music (various B-sides and previously unreleased outtakes) and video (including a number of rare live clips seeing their first release here) supplements equally intriguing.
