Composer Mike Oldfield rose to fame on the success of Tubular Bells, an eerie, album-length conceptual piece employed to stunning effect in the film The Exorcist. Born May 15, 1953, in Reading, England, Oldfield began his professional career at the age of 14, forming the Sallyangie folk duo with his sister Sally; a year later, the siblings issued their debut LP, Children of the Sun. By the age of 16, he was playing bass with Soft Machine founder Kevin Ayers' group the Whole World alongside experimental classical arranger David Bedford and avant-garde jazz saxophonist Lol Coxhill; within months, Oldfield was tapped to become the band's lead guitarist prior to recording the 1971 LP Shooting at the Moon.

Little Feat's seven member powerhouse line-up continues to carry the band's thirty-plus year tradition on in fine style, both as a hugely popular live act and in the recording arena. Time has loved these musical heroes for more than three decades now, as have countless fellow musicians, many of whom they've collaborated with over the years - both individually and as a group - including Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson, Beck, Brian Wilson, Robert Plant, and Johnny Lang. With an immensely rich legacy and a fresh and inspired band of musicians continuing to create exciting new material, Little Feat will no doubt be sailin' into the future with no end in sight.

Cliff Bennett & The Rebel Rousers formed in early 1961 in Hayes, Middlesex, borrowing their name from Duane Edward's hit 'Rebel Rouser'. Honing their skills playing popular Rock 'N' Roll covers, their local popularity drew the attention of legendary producer Joe Meek whose influence got them a contract with Parlophone.
