Randall Dunn, the musician, producer, and engineer renowned for his work with Sunn0))), Tim Hecker, Six Organs of Admittance, and many more, has announced his first solo effort. Beloved, is set for release on vinyl and digital via figureight on November 9 2018. Following a turbulent period of change and loss the esteemed producer channeled his energies into a seven song meditation on “anxiety, paranoia, different shades of love, different realizations of mortality, how it can make you feel the stages of your life more deeply.”

Debut recording by the Kevin Keller Ensemble (english horn, strings, piano, harp, percussion) of Keller's new contemporary ballet In Absentia. This deeply emotional work deals with absence, loss, and ultimately, acceptance. It is Keller's most visceral and immediate work to date, exploring a style he calls 'pure expressionism'. This will appeal to fans of Philip Glass, John Tavener, and Arvo Part.

First released in the early '50s to the public's delight, these nature documentaries were unique in their lively, fictional narrative approach to the subjects' lives, which were recreated with anthropomorphic humor and zest. Even today, and maybe more so, hearing that beavers in Beaver Valley are "always stubborn, always persistent," or that the crayfish shovel mud like "miniature bulldozers" is heartening, reminding one that Disney is The Magical Kingdom. Even more heartening is it that these scientific films, made with the latest cameras and technology, were filmic landmarks, and contain footage that David Attenborough's film crews would only dream of getting; in Mysteries of the Deep, a dolphin gives birth and there are views of coral reef that may not even exist anymore. White Wilderness takes one through the Arctic tundra, a "world of frozen chaos," showing majestic animals alongside the lemming, with their strange, suicidal tendency to jump off cliffs…..

NYC virtuoso pianist, keyboardist, producer, and composer Jamie Saft releases a new record of music by John Cage and Jerry Granelli. Saft's work has been featured with Iggy Pop, Beastie Boys, Bad Brains, The B-52's, Roswell Rudd, John Zorn, John Adams, Laurie Anderson, Antony & the Johnsons, and more. He scored the Oscar-nominated Murderball and Sundance winner God Grew Tired Of Us.
