After the shocking bathtub death of his mother and her lover, the sinister Patrick lays comatose in a small private hospital, his only action being his involuntary spitting. When a pretty young nurse, just separated from her husband, begins work at the hospital, she senses that Patrick is communicating with her, and he seems to be using his psychic powers to manipulate events in her life.

Patrick Moraz is a Swiss musician, film composer and songwriter, best known for his tenures as keyboardist in the rock bands Yes and The Moody Blues. After playing a role in the success of Yes' Relayer album in 1974, Moraz launched a solo career and became one of the more celebrated keyboardists of his age. During the '70s, when Moraz reached his prime as an artist, the keyboard was still a new and complex instrument. Technology was still evolving in the age before the personal computer. Patrick Williams, one of Hollywood’s great composers, has created soundtracks for over 70 films as well as numerous television series and is a multiple Emmy and Grammy winner. On this 1977 recording Williams enlists the help of some jazz greats, including pianist Dave Grusin, guitarist Steve Kahn and drummer Grady Tate, to interpret his originals along with a couple of his best-known television themes from The Bob Newhart Show and Lou Grant and a cover of "Blue Light".

Loosely planned around a concept of primitive (i.e. acoustic) culture clashing and then merging with modern (i.e. synthesizer) culture, Patrick Moraz could more accurately be said to track the keyboardist's descent from the rich acoustic diversity of his '70s releases into the synthesized tones of his '80s albums. While heavily processed vocoder lines show up in "Primitivisation," this album is largely instrumental. The result, though, is less a satisfying album than a interesting demo of Moraz's future work. The appropriately cheery "Temples of Joy" makes its debut here; with Bill Bruford's fine drumming added, it would reappear in an otherwise identical form six years later on Flags.

Digitally remastered two CD set containing a trio of albums from the acclaimed vocalist. This set features Nicolette Larson's first three solo albums from 1978, 1979 and 1981. Larson had been a singer with Commander Cody and on the back of that obtained her Warner Bros contract. All three albums made the US Top 100, with Nicolette peaking at #15 and the single 'Lotta Love' making the Top 10. Larson was very much an interpreter of other people's songs, with producer Ted Templeman coaxing the best from her. Larson sadly died in 1997.
