People Collide

Shadows Collide with People is the fifth studio album by John Frusciante (best known as the guitarist of the rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers). The album was written during the recording of By the Way, and is widely regarded as his most accessible work, featuring a mix of guitar-driven alternative rock, folk ballads, and electronica.

Behavioral economics is the scientific study of decision making, and of the related topics of valuation, exchange, and interpersonal interactions. Drawing on methods from psychology, sociology, neurology, and economics, this remarkable discipline illuminates one of the most deeply fundamental activities of human existence: the decision process.

In 2017, a British-born terrorist detonated a suicide bomb at a pop concert, killing 22 people. Five years on, the truth of what happened is finally emerging.

Following the breadth of 2015’s live and post-processed electro-acoustic release Paradigm Shift, bassist Michael Janisch launches new project Worlds Collide with a band featuring saxophonist John O’Gallagher, trumpeter Jason Palmer, guitarist Rez Abbasi and drummer Clarence Penn. Recorded in Abbey Road’s legendary Studio 3, and engineered/mastered by Tyler McDiarmid, it also includes guest saxophonist George Crowley, keyboardist John Escreet and drummer/percussionist Andrew Bain.

The title might sound like this one's a breakdance compilation – but it's 70s funk and soul all the way through! The package mixes together rare funky 45s, hard-grooving modern soul, and some heavier vocal numbers that are really great – and all chosen with the care that you'd expect from the Goldmine label! The groove's nice and open – so that you'll have heavy drums and guitar on one track, and strident dancing grooves on the next, shifting back and forth to keep the sound fresh, making each turn of the set a great new surprise.
