Who's Next is the fifth studio album by English rock band the Who. It developed from the aborted Lifehouse project, a multi-media rock opera written by the group's Pete Townshend as a follow-up to the band's 1969 album Tommy. The project was cancelled owing to its complexity and to conflicts with Kit Lambert, the band's manager, but the group salvaged some of the songs, without the connecting story elements, to release as their next album. Eight of the nine songs on Who's Next were from Lifehouse, the lone exception being the John Entwistle-penned "My Wife".

Back To The Egg is the 1979 album by Wings, a band featuring Paul McCartney. This is the 1989 CD pressing on Capitol which features three bonus tracks: "Daytime Nightime Suffering" (the B-side to "Goodnight Tonight") and McCartney's Christmas single from 1979, "Wonderful Christmastime" and "Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reggae" in monaural.

Did anybody know that Traffic was planning to regroup and tour!? This fact alone makes the new double CD concert: Dear Mr. Fantasy: Featuring The Music Of Jim Capaldi & Traffic all the more poignant in its release. Put together by the drummer’s wife Aninha, this concert was held at London’s famed Roundhouse and features ex-Traffic mate Steve Winwood, Pete Townshend, Joe Walsh, Bill Wyman, Jon Lord and Paul Weller. Fronting a ‘backing band’ that includes Andy Newmark (heard from too little these days, as far as I’m concerned) Ray Cooper, Mark Rivera, Simon Kirke, Dave Bronze and Paul ‘Wix’ Wickens, the ‘stars’ take the stage to perform various Capaldi-penned tunes along with the more famous Traffic tunes he co-wrote.

The bill included Neil Finn (Crowded House), Noel Gallagher (Oasis), Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top), David Gilmour (Pink Floyd), Kirk Hammett (Metallica), John Mayall (Blues Breakers), Christine McVie (Fleetwood Mac), Jeremy Spencer (Fleetwood Mac), Pete Townshend (The Who), Steven Tyler (Aerosmith) and Bill Wyman (Rolling Stones). Legendary producer Glyn Johns (Small Faces & The Beatles) joined as the executive sound producer and the house band featured Mick Fleetwood himself along with Andy Fairweather Low, Dave Bronze, Rick Vito, Zak Starkey, Jonny Lang and Ricky Peterson.

For many The Who is the best British rock band that emerge in the 60s. In its original formation (Roger Daltrey, Pete Townshend, Keith Moon and John Entwistle) the group had four unique and charismatic personalities. Townshend was always the ideologue and visionary of the band, someone that from a cultural point of view, always rose above the average rock musician. Also, although being a limited –technically speaking- musician, he was highly original, both for the sophisticated chords he played and for his particular ideas when he was approaching his guitar solos, not to mention his devastating stage presence that made him one of the rock's biggest guitar icons.
