The great thing about Sarah Blasko’s voice is how surprising it is. Her wispy tone could be mistaken for frail—were it not for the immense force it quickly conjures. You feel it from the very start of her sixth album, with the swaggering pulse of “Phantom.” The blues-pop sound grows with fat saxophone honks on “Never Let Me Go,” while atmospheric, string-laden sounds soar in the latter half, with “Savour It” and delicate closer “Leads Me Back”.
