Persian Inspirations, the pianist Nima Farahmand Bafi calls his debut CD. In addition to improvisations on melodies of old masters of traditional Persian music, he makes, as is self-evident, works by Chopin and Liszt. The playful pieces symbolize the two "hearts" that beat in his breast: the one for the music of his homeland, the other for European classical music. Not only Nima Bafi's career is extraordinary. This book features a selection of articles based on the XXXV Białowieża Workshop on Geometric Methods in Physics, 2016. The series of Białowieża workshops, attended by a community of experts at the crossroads of mathematics and physics, is a major annual event in the field.
