Donald Smith "Don" Airey has been the keyboardist in the rock band Deep Purple since 2002, succeeding Jon Lord. He has had a long and productive career, playing with such acts as Gary Moore, Ozzy Osbourne, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Jethro Tull, Whitesnake, Saxon, Wishbone Ash, Steve Vai, Colosseum II, Ten, Sinner, Michael Schenker, Rainbow, Empire, Thin Lizzy, Brian May, Divlje jagode and Living Loud. He has also worked with Andrew Lloyd Webber. A Light In The Sky, is his second solo record. Airey has gathered together a different set of collaborators (though Laurence Cottle of Sting/Eric Clapton/Brian Eno/Bill Bruford fame once again contributes precision bass-playing), though naturally Don provides the record's central creative thrust an entertaining mixture of instrumental and vocal songs, from the Bladerunner-style Ripples In The Fabric Of Time to the hook-laden hard rock of Shooting Star.

Arguably the greatest violinist in modern jazz, Zbignew Seifert was a musician’s musician, a player who is still talked about with a sense of awe. By the time of his death in 1979 at the age of 32, he had an international following and was playing with the jazz world’s elite. This 1976 recording features some of the genre's premiere musicians, including American drummer Billy Hart, considered in the same ranks as such innovators as Elvin Jones and Tony Williams. Bassist Cecil McBee’s credentials include work with Miles Davis and Keith Jarrett. Both Hart and McBee had also played with pianist McCoy Tyner, to whom this album and the title song "Man of the Light" are dedicated.

When Luca Aaron, Kristinn Kristinsson and Fabian Willmann played together for the first time in a rehearsal room of the Academy of Music Basel in 2014, they immediately felt a strong bond. “It was almost like salvation from the daily college-routine, to find people who also wanted to play something different,” Luca Aaron grins. The trio’s creative drive feeds on various influences. Some of them have inspired all members and others are more personal. To name the most important: post-rock, minimalism à la Steve Reich, Nordic melancholy and Scandinavian folk, as well as unusual tonal colors, created by extended playing techniques and well applied electronics.

A one-time member of Youth Of Britain alongside Daniele Davoli from Black Box, (supported The Prodigy and Annastasia, played Reading etc.) I have been in many varied bands over the years including the afore mentioned Youth Of Britain, The Sonic Jewels and The Atomic Workers and as such I have had the chance to record and perform in some fantastic places including Abbey Road, Reading Festival and Ronnie Scott’s. Blues has been very much present throughout my musical journey and came to the fore during the UK summer Covid -19 lockdown where I conceived, wrote, performed, recorded, produced and released my first solo album.

Light Grenades is the sixth studio album by alternative rock band Incubus, released on November 28, 2006 on Epic Records. The album sold 359,000 copies during its first week of release worldwide, and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, selling 165,000 copies in the U.S. in its first week; it is the band's first number one album. However, until November 20, 2016, Light Grenades held the dubious honor of having the title of the biggest drop from No. 1 in chart history, falling to #37; it is the third largest as of January 21st, 2017. The album only achieved Gold, breaking a string of Platinum records beginning with 2002's Morning View.

Secret Messages is the tenth studio album by Electric Light Orchestra (ELO), released in 1983 on Jet Records. It was the last ELO album with bass guitarist Kelly Groucutt, conductor Louis Clark and real stringed instruments, and the last ELO album to be released on the Jet label. It was also the final ELO studio album to become a worldwide top 40 hit upon release. Secret Messages, as its title suggests, is littered with hidden messages in the form of backmasking, some obvious and others less so.
