E Pluribus Funk Is one of Rock Histories Greastest Hard Rock Albums. It is also probably the beast played Bass Album in Rock History. Mel Schacher GFR's Bass god is just phenomenal from start to finish on this one; but he is on every GFR album as well; Mel really sets the litmus test for all bass players on I Come Tumblin,' it is lead bass playing personified…

Pianist Liza Stepanova, praised by The New York Times for her “thoughtful musicality” and “fleet-fingered panache,” announces the August 28, 2020 release of her new album E Pluribus Unum on Navona Records. This collection showcases nine renowned American composers with immigrant backgrounds, including Lera Auerbach, Anna Clyne, Gabriela Lena Frank, Kamran Ince, Reinaldo Moya, Pablo Ortiz, and world premiere recordings of music by Chaya Czernowin, Badie Khaleghian, and Eun Young Lee. Born out of the political climate of 2017, E Pluribus Unum is an artistic response to the immigration policies implemented by the American government at that time. Stepanova explains, “Many of my colleagues, friends, and students in the music world found themselves or their communities to be directly affected. One of them was the wonderfully gifted young composer Badie Khaleghian, at the time my piano student, whose Iranian parents were barred from traveling to attend his graduation recital at the University of Georgia. In response to this situation, I decided to commission him for a new work that became the centerpiece of a recital program and this recording.”

E Pluribus Funk is Grand Funk Railroad's fifth studio album and was released in November 1971 by Capitol Records. Like previous Grand Funk Railroad albums, it was recorded at Cleveland Recording Company and is the final album produced by Terry Knight. The title is a play on the former motto of the US government, E pluribus unum. The original release cover (designed by Ernie Cefalu) was completely round and covered with a silver-like film to resemble a large coin. The back side of the cover of this album included a die cast picture of Shea Stadium to celebrate Grand Funk beating The Beatles' Shea Stadium attendance record by selling out in just 72 hours.

It's really amazing how Funk keeps coming up with new material since this is their sixth album in about two years.

Von Thronstahl is a German martial-industrial, neoclassical and neofolk band founded in 1995 by Catholic brothers Bernhard and Josef Wilhelm Maria Klumb.
Their music incorporates bombastic Wagnerian arrangements, neofolk-style acoustic guitar riffs, martial/industrial rhythms and sometimes also industrial rock elements.
The group has been often accused of propagating racist and fascist political views through their lyrics and appearances, which they combine with haute couture-related imagery on album covers and during live performances. The politics expressed in their music are very controversial; they wish to have the EU abolished and return to an imperialistic Europe. (from Last.fm)
