Like many musicians, Tim Posner was born into a musical environment. His father is was a violist, and his mother, a cellist, “quite naturally” became his first teacher. Apart from a passing desire to embark on a career as an opera singer – which even led him to play the shepherd boy in Tosca at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden! – the prospect of a life dedicated to the cello became clear from the age of thirteen, fuelled in particular by his early discovery of the infinite field of chamber music.

This popular TV program is a reimagining of the classic book, Anne of Green Gables, a coming-of-age story about a young orphan who is seeking love, acceptance and her place in the world. The soundtrack includes the theme song “Ahead by a Century” by The Tragically Hip and score from the composing duo of Amin Bhatia and Ari Posner.ARI POSNER is a fixture in Canadian film and television, having scored series such as Netflix/CBC’s Anne, X Company, Blood and Fury: America’s Civil War, and the critically acclaimed TV series Flashpoint, as well as feature films All the Wrong Reasons, Borealis, and romantic comedy My Awkward Sexual Adventure. The music composer’s repertoire spans from long-format work to ads to animated series, and everything in between.

Mike Posner's anticipated follow-up to 2016's At Night, Alone will drop Jan. 18. The 11-track A Real Good Kid features the rocker "Song About You," as well as the newly released, gentle island-flavored ballad "Stuck in the Middle."
