Good News from the Next World is the tenth studio album of original material by Scottish rock band Simple Minds, released in February 1995 by record label Virgin. The album garnered moderate commercial success; in the UK, it reached No. 2 and produced the two Top 20 hit singles "She's a River" (No. 9) and "Hypnotised" (No. 18).

This 2 SACDs set featuring 5 top 40 singles and a total of 32 songs covering the band's A&M and Virgin Records careers. Also includes the bonus track 'The Real Life' (Remix by Raven Maize, sampling Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody).

Simple Minds revisits some of its biggest hits of the 1980s acoustically on this collection, featuring guest KT Tunstall on the lead single "Promised You A Miracle". The reimagined songs span the band's eclectic and illustrious career and sound more organic in these stripped down versions. The synths are no more but the Celtic soul remains.
