Naming an uncompromising jazz album in commemoration of a soccer victory is not as strange as it may appear, for sports and the creative arts share an ability to unite diverse people in a sense of community that grows rarer every day. As we become ever more autonomous, as civic and religious ties continue to fray, sports and the arts remain the stages that bring us together and unite us in our passions.

Intrada is proud to announce the premiere CD release of James Horner's score for the 2015 documentary Living in the Age of Airplanes. Horner was passionate about flying and loved to score the subject of aviation. Having previously scored the documentaries First in Flight and The Fourth Horseman, not to mention films with flying as a central theme such as The Rocketeer, Horner gravitated to the subject and poured his heart into it. One can hear Horner's very soul soaring through his music. Through a beautiful melding of wordless vocals, electronics and orchestra, Horner takes the listener on a musical journey, around the world, through time, and into the air above the clouds.

Composer Bryan Tewell Hughes deftly combines ethereal electronica with organic/acoustic elements, resulting in a progression of lush, complex pieces that expand the imagination and fill the aural palette. As a composer, musician, and audio craftsman, Hughes’ skill and attention to detail are attention-grabbing and unique. Moreover, his albums are not mere collections of individual songs - they are flowing, thematic works of art. Universal concepts emerge, albeit with a level of sublimity that allows the listener to formulate a unique impression of the theme.

After their parents die, sisters Kath (Demelza Randall) and Francine (Rebecca Palmer) continue to labor on the family farm.
