Procol Harum - Live At The Union Chapel 2004 (DVD5)/ Singles A's & B's 2002(2CD)

Procol Harum - Live at the Union Chapel is a record of the final performance of the band's 2003 world tour, taped on December 12 before a small London crowd. The venue was an inspired choice. As a performance space, the Gothic church is at once both intimate and grand, a perfect mirror for the band's odd but cogent mix of bar-band boogie and classically tinged prog rock. The 21-song concert includes eight selections from The Well's on Fire, Procol Harum's 2003 studio album.
Audio: Original German compilation featuring 57 tracks (3 CD). Highlights include, 'A Whiter Shade Of Pale', 'Lime Street Blues', 'Homburg', 'Good Captain Clack', 'Il Tuo Diamanta', 'Fortuna', 'Quite Rightly So', 'In The Small Hours Of Sixpence', 'Quite Rightly So' & 'Rambling On'. Digipak. Packaged in a trifold digipak. 2002. Repertoire.

IN CONCERT is a masterful package capturing a phenomenal live show. Procol Harum, after all, have the kind of repertoire that naturally lends itself to the orchestral situation, and, of course, this isn't their first dive into those waters.

The ornate trappings of an old cathedral make the perfect backdrop for a band whose gothic feel was a large part of its initial success. Procol Harum was in fine form for this show recorded for the cameras on the venerable British outfit's final date of its extensive 2003 world tour. This isn't entirely the greatest-hits summary that some might have wanted…
