Sons of Apollo is an American progressive metal supergroup formed in 2017 and composed of Mike Portnoy, Billy Sheehan, Derek Sherinian, Jeff Scott Soto and Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal. Portnoy, Sheehan and Sherinian had already worked together at a short-lived, live instrumental project with Tony MacAlpine. Sherinian was asking Portnoy to be a drummer in a band full-time. Portnoy agreed when he had time for it. Their debut album, Psychotic Symphony, will be produced by Portnoy and Sherinian (as "The Del Fuvio Brothers") and is expected to be released on 20 October 2017 via Inside Out Music/Sony Music.

A sloping road. In the background - a few meters above the ground - an old man in bent posture pushes his walker towards the horizon. There, where the dark clouds rip open, a glistening light appears. An atmospheric cover photo that stands for a music-made Ascension. The Ascension of Mat Plundrot, the protagonist of the story told by the members of "Green Desert Tree" in music and word.

First album featuring new versions of prog-rock legends songs called "Keyboards Triangle" was recorded in 1999 by two Japanese bands: Gerard & Ars Nova. It was really splendid disk which many prog fans enjoyed and praised quite much. It's a pity that most of people don't know that in 2002 second part of this project was recorded, this time solely by Gerard. Compared with first part this album is significantly shorter and less diverse (only one band is playing - Gerard, and only 3 bands are covered - King Crimson, UK and ELP).

Anthony PHILLIPS was one of the original founding members of GENESIS featuring Peter GABRIEL, Tony BANKS, and Michael RUTHERFORD. Following 'Trespass', GENESIS' second album, PHILLIPS left (purportedly due to stage fright) and was replaced by Steve HACKETT. Nothing was heard again from Anthony until 1977, when he favored us with his first solo, 'The Geese and the Ghost', although PHILLIPS wasn't the first member of the band to release a solo album (that honor goes to Steve HACKETT, by releasing 'Voyage of the Acolyte', in 1975). A more commercial audience was courted on 'Wise After The Event' and 'Sides', to no avail, and PHILLIPS spent much of his time releasing instrumental pieces (both old and new) under the 'Private Parts & Pieces' series.
