This textbook combines pulmonary and cardiac physiology and pathophysiology with clinical aspects of the disease. The textbook addresses the following topics: structure and function of the normal pulmonary vasculature; disregulated cellular pathways seen in experimental and human pulmonary hypertension; clinical aspects of pulmonary hypertension in general; presentation of several specific forms of pulmonary hypertension, and management of pulmonary hypertension in special circumstances.

Textbook of Pulmonary Vascular Diseases combines basic scientific knowledge on the pulmonary circulatory system at levels of the molecule, cell, tissue, and organ with clinical diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary vascular diseases. State-of-the-art techniques and their potential applications in research, diagnosis, and treatment of pulmonary vascular diseases are also covered.

In recent years, the climate surrounding the development and implementation of pulmonary rehabilitation programs has continued to evolve. Legal changes regarding program funding, compensation, and staffing are more dependent on effective certified pulmonary rehabilitation programming.
