Jarvis shares some exciting news about the latest album from Pulp. Titled This, this is the first Pulp album since We Love Life in 2001. This album marks the band's return after almost 24 years. The album came together during a time of touring and creative inspiration, resulting in new songs like "Hymn of the North" and revivals of past ideas. The music on this album features collaborations with talented individuals like Richard Hawley and Jason Buckle. The Eno family even lends their vocals as backing singers, while Richard Jones and the Elysian Collective contribute string arrangements.
UK digitally remastered two CD set features their 1998 album which includes the hit singles 'Help The Aged', 'A Little Soul' and 'This Is Hardcore' plus a bonus disc which brings together a collection of bonus material (personally selected by leader Jarvis Cocker) which features single b-sides and previously unreleased versions of 'Cocaine Socialism' & 'Tomorrow Never Dies' along with six more previously unreleased demo recordings! The package comes complete with picture booklet containing previously unreleased photos and extensive sleevenotes written by Jarvis!
"…All of his sex songs are compassionate, while the subtle satire of "Sorted for E's & Wizz" is affectionate, but the best moment on the album is the hit single "Common People," about a rich girl who gets off by slumming with the lower class. Coming from Cocker, who made secondhand clothes and music glamorous, the song is undeniably affecting and exciting, much like Different Class itself." ~AMG
