"Pompeii" captures Pink Floyd live – and alone – in a small stadium in the petrified Italian city of Pompeii, playing some of their pre-Dark Side of the Moon material. There is also footage of the band in the studio, working on Dark Side. This 24bit/96khz DVD-Audio release consists of the discrete quad audio sourced from a 4-track 35mm film print.

This one is a very strange Quad mix. It was the only Santana Quad mix not to be released on Quad 8track.
Some claim it's a fake Quad mix, but I have pinpointed a few moments that there are guitars in the rears and keyboards in the front sharing the same frequencies, so the veredict is open.
As it is , I don't think they would have even bothered with a fake quad mix.
It features a song that I always liked as a kid and somehow I had NEVER heard on the radio or anywhere else until I bought this LP 2 years ago! "See the Light".
Even so, the sonics are spectacular and the wash of reverb in "Dance Sister Dance"is great!
As with all Santana releases, the percussion makes this a wonderful Surround experience.Brought to you in Separate files, in BOTH:Hi Resolution DVD-Audio (ONLY-no Dolby or DTS DVD);
and for those without DVD-A players, a DTS CD 44.1/16 version.

Through a long and prolific period, the Miracles released 24 albums from 1961 to 1976 on the Motown record label, 11 of which were billed as "Smokey Robinson and the Miracles". When Motown packed their bags and left Detroit, Smokey Robinson left to work with the label, and a few years later when their contract was up, the band ended up on Columbia Records. It was at this point in 1977 when Love Crazy and their 1978 self-titled were released. Vocallion Records has now returned to the CBS vaults and remastered the quad and stereo masters from their original analog mixes and spun them out on a new hybrid multi-channel SACD. The first album Love Crazy is available in both Quadrophonic and Stereo DSD, while the second album The Miracles is only available as Stereo DSD.

DISCLAIMER:THIS IS A REAUTHORING OF A SUPPOSED QUAD REEL TRANSFER DONE BY SOMEONE ELSE; RQR
My only contribution to this release is the lyrics slideshow; I always liked Ian Anderson's lyrics and this LP is no exception, so I decided to look 'em up and do a reauthoring. I also made some covers and decided to turn "positive" the cover just for kicks, if you don't like it , you can just turn it back to how it originally was.
The main reason is that I could not burn this DVD Audio properly, so I ripped the 96/24 tracks and added the images.
One thing; although it sounds fine, the frequency range of this transfer is quite limited- there is NOTHING above 16kHz, pitch black. To me , the person who did the transfer went crazy with the Noise Reduction and obliterated any HF info, either that or this is a pretty good CD-4 LP transfer. As it is, I could have done a 48/24 DVD-A, but, alas…
One more thing, the Audio remains untouched.
Enjoy it!,
kn'k

After the harrowing 'Plastic Ono Band', John Lennon returned to calmer, more conventional territory with Imagine. While the album had a softer surface, it was only marginally less confessional than its predecessor. Underneath the sweet strings of "Jealous Guy" lies a broken and scared man, the jaunty "Crippled Inside" is a mocking assault at an acquaintance, and "Imagine" is a paean for peace in a world with no gods, possessions, or classes, where everyone is equal. And Lennon doesn't shy away from the hard rockers – "How Do You Sleep" is a scathing attack on Paul McCartney, "I Don't Want to Be a Soldier" is a hypnotic antiwar song, and "Give Me Some Truth" is bitter hard rock. If Imagine doesn't have the thematic sweep of Plastic Ono Band, it is nevertheless a remarkable collection of songs that Lennon would never be able to better again.
