Sold upon its November 2014 release as a compilation containing some unearthed, even "forgotten," material, Queen Forever doesn't contain much new in either its standard or deluxe versions. Just three songs, actually: a finished version of the Works outtake "Let Me in Your Heart Again," a reworked version of Freddie Mercury's solo "Love Kills" from the soundtrack to Giorgio Moroder's Metropolis, and a completed version of "There Must Be More to Life Than This," a Freddie duet with Michael Jackson from the early '80s…

Queen II was a breakthrough in terms of power and ambition, but Queen's third album Sheer Heart Attack was where the band started to gel. It followed quickly on the heels of the second record – just by a matter of months; it was the second album they released in 1974 – but it feels like it had a longer incubation period, so great is the progress here…

+ Bomb Queen Presents: All-Girl Comics #1 (One-Shot)

is an American fictional comic book character, created by Jimmie Robinson. She first appeared in Image Comics' , and has subsequently appeared in five other limited series and a one-shot. This is the sixth. The Queen is a villainess who has eliminated and subsequently banned all superheroes from the fictional city of New Port City. She rules the city as a benevolent dictator; the limitations she has placed over the city's criminals have made her a popular leader. Bomb Queen's rule over the city (and her cavalier attitude to crime) caused the city to flourish. The city coffers were overflowing with laundered money, which caused New Port City to rival Las Vegas. This also resulted in private local TV stations, Intranet, and regional cable stations being allowed to air unrated content - often of Bomb Queen herself, in pornographic movies filmed from her fortified townhouse. A one-of-a-kind super-character that perhaps other publishers wish they were publishing.

When it was released in 1977, News of the World seemed at loggerheads with a music world that had moved beyond Queen's operatic pomprock and on to punk. In fact, the album was more in step with the punk scene than the output of most superstar acts of the time, as it contains Roger Taylor's furious "Sheer Heart Attack" and Freddie Mercury's lean, brutal "Get Down, Make Love." Of course, News is famous for its opening medley, "We Will Rock You/We Are the Champions." Attend any sports event in the Western world, and you'll hear the former. If it's a championship match and the home team wins, you'll hear the latter. That's a tribute to the staying power of the music, but News of the World offers proof that, even as Queen maintained their position as rock & roll royalty, they continued to evolve and react to the times.
