Da cosa si riconosce un filosofo? È un uomo; le quote rosa sono praticamente inesistenti. Viene citato spesso e volentieri. Teniamo in libreria uno dei suoi grossi tomi, ma non l'abbiamo mai letto. Vive lontano dalla realtà: non si occupa delle cose del mondo, ma della loro essenza. La parità di genere secondo la destra", Cristina Di Giorgi ripercorre la lunga storia di quante, a partire dalla nascita del MSI, hanno scelto di schierarsi da quella che in molti consideravano (e considerano tutt'ora) "la parte sbagliata", anche e forse soprattutto per le donne. La destra invece ha dimostrato di avere le carte in regola per far emergere figure femminili di valore ed esprimere concetti circa il tema della "parità di genere" ben più incisivi e condivisibili rispetto a quelli cari all'ultraprogressismo e al femminismo tossico.

The Atipico Trio's Gone with the Winds could also be called "Three Guys Passing Wind" or "Middle-Aged Farts at Play." No disrespect meant; in fact, quite the opposite. The clarinet, saxophone, and voice trio (each member does everything, sometimes at once) is comprised of Carlo Actis Dato, Sandro Cerino, and Stefano Corradi, sly dogs all. They would have you believe by their album cover – and the fact that they dedicate their works to aunts, pharmacists, dogs, etc…

This quote, which accompanies a vintage photograph of three African American women lifting their hands heavenward, is not only featured prominently in Put the Whole Armour On, a two-CD tribute to 1940s and 1950s female gospel artists, but it serves as an apt prelude to the collection. That is, notwithstanding the prominence of women in African American churches, most denominations did not allow women to become pastors. In response, some females became evangelists, saving souls through street corner oratory as well as gospel music. The 54 selections curated for this collection cover some of the most popular gospel singers of the golden era like Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Clara Ward, and Mahalia Jackson. Included is Jackson’s initial and unsuccessful but plaintively rendered Apollo Records release “I’m Going to Tell God.” The package also introduces lesser-known figures such as Madam Ernestin Martin, Mary Frazier, and Mari Brown, whose lilting voice delicately delivers “Did You Stop to Pray This Morning” with R&B pioneers the Johnny Moore Trio.
