It's nearly 20 years since Radiohead's debut album, and while this was a wholly credible release featuring the world class 'Creep' single, it contained little to suggest this was a band who would not just revolutionize music itself, but in addition revolutionize the entire industry in which it operated. This film looks at the part of the Radiohead's career that included the recording, release and aftermath of the band's masterwork, 'OK Computer', the 1997 album that saw the group's profile change from interesting indie types to world class innovators.

Instead of revealing why the two records were separated, the appearance of Amnesiac makes the separation seem arbitrary – there's no shift in tone, no shift in approach, and the division only makes the two records seem unfocused, even if the best of both records is quite stunning, proof positive that Radiohead are one of the best bands of their time.

It's hard to approach a Radiohead tribute with anything but reservation, as the majority of the band's later work is difficult to replicate, especially if your arsenal consists of a single piano. Things aren't helped much thanks to Brad Mehldau's jazz interpretations leaving a bitter taste in the mouth of even the most die-hard Radiohead fan. That said, True Love Waits isn't a bad compilation if you were a fan of Mehldau's reworkings. However, if you were on the other side of the fence, it might not be the best album you'll listen to all year.

This is the sound of Radiohead doing what they do, doing it very well, doing it without flash or pretension, gently easing from the role of pioneers to craftsmen.
