As the follow up to their 2019 Grammy Award- nominated album Elevate, genre-defying funk-jazz-soul-hip-hop-psychedelic-jam-rock-experimental music titans Lettuce have announced their seventh studio album. Resonate finds the acclaimed six-piece once again breaking rules, pushing boundaries and uplifting spirits as evidenced with the first single, the funkified “Checker Wrecker”. Drawing on a longstanding collective passion for Washington, DC go-go music, Lettuce welcomes scene legends Big Tony Fisher of Trouble Funk and Tyrone “Jungle Boogie” Williams of Rare Essence into their ecosystem on the new song, which features funk guitars and simmering horns dipping in and out of a percussive pocket before the track struts into swaggering chants.

Resonate is the fourteenth studio album by English hard rock singer Glenn Hughes. The album was released in Japan on 28 October 2016 by Ward Records, and worldwide on 4 November 2016 by Frontiers Records. Hughes has said of the album: "It's possibly the heaviest record I've ever made. I don't want to confuse it with horns-up heavy; it's not metal. But it's definitely f–-ing heavy. It's dense. It's dark. There's some aggression on this record. Every bloody track is begging to be played live." All tracks written by Glenn Hughes, except track 12 which was written by Gary Moore. Glenn Hughes is an English rock bassist and vocalist, best known for playing bass and performing vocals for funk rock pioneers Trapeze, the Mk. III and IV line-ups of Deep Purple, as well as briefly fronting Black Sabbath in the mid-1980s.
Best-known for his work with Deep Purple, Glenn Hughes doesn't rest on his laurels on his first solo album in eight years, Resonate. In addition to his tight live band, Hughes is joined by friend and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith on the opening and closing tracks. Resonate might well be the heaviest of Hughes's solo albums, but as is his trademark, musical diversity shines through, blending the finest elements of hard rock, soul and funk. "It’s heavy in content lyrically and it’s musically heavy, but it’s got a lot of groove … I think it’s quite dramatic … there’s a lot of light and shade. But the emphasis is really heavy grooves and that’s what I write … everybody needs to know that this is absolutely a return to rock music as a solo artist for me…
Following on from Michal Martyniuk’s 2018 debut release "Nothing To Prove", Michal has assembled a similar group of musicians to present "Resonate". With a blend of brand new works recorded in Poland plus unreleased tracks featuring his New Zealand based band, "Resonate" shows the width and breadth of this young pianist and composer’s writing abilities. "Resonate" is yet another showcase of Martyniuk’s maturity both as a composer and pianist, framed beautifully by a team of musicians who understand his approach and concept.
