How do you prepare for a ride through nowhere? Miles and miles of it. Alone on his trusty KTM, Henry Cole is going to have plenty of thinking time as he attempts to travel from one of the world's most isolated cities, Perth, on Australia's far west coast, across vast swathes of nothing to the tropical climes of Darwin in the north. Miles of great empty red desert will surround him en route and, whilst the mileage is high, the soaring temperatures will be higher as well as relentless and merciless. This is endurance riding at it most intense. Even seeking out company after riding through the wilderness from miles can be harder than you'd imagine, as Henry discovers when he visits Binnu - population 6.
