As birds start preparing for their long winter flights and hazel leaves scatter the ground, once again we return for another fresh edition of our Essentials series. Looking back over the previous 8 months of releases, this compilation completely sums up the innovative and relaxing vibes Chillhop has strived to provide throughout the year. While some see the Autumn as the season of melancholy, we like to look at it from a different perspective; One of new beginnings and quiet excitement for what is to come.

For Troy Roberts, a New York Australian, it has become a good tradition to give listeners a new album every year. 2019 was no exception. Unlike previous works, Tales & Tones (2017) and Nu Jive Perspective (2018), published by Inner Circle Music, his new album, Like Like, was released under the logo of Toy Robot Music, the musician's label, whose title is very transparent in its initials. The difference is more significant: this time Troy preferred the trio format, moreover the organ trio. In three tracks, he is played by the outstanding master of the electric organ, Joey DeFranchesko, in whose ensemble Troy has been playing for four years, and in the rest - the young, talented, but so far less famous Emmett Cohen, whom Roberts met in Miami when Emmett was a university student, where Troy taught. Behind the drum kit on all the tracks is another Roberts “employer,” the highly experienced Jeff Thane Watts, with whom Roberts has been playing for five years.

Cresce, infatti, apprezzando culture musicali più disparate: dalla musica hard rock ai preludi di Chopin, dalla pop music anni ’80 ai giri armonici dei cantautori italiani.Gran parte dell’attività di Michele Braga è dedicata al cinema: ed è proprio quando inizia a scrivere per il grande schermo che decide di perfezionare lo studio della composizione e dell’orchestrazione con il Maestro Alessandro Cusatelli.Nel 2015 compone a quattro mani con lo stesso regista Gabriele Mainetti le musiche di “Lo chiamavano Jeeg Robot”, un film dal genere supereroistico che vede Claudio Santamaria, Luca Marinelli ed Ilenia Pastorelli i protagonisti indiscussi.

This book comprises an overview of twelve months of intense activity of the research group Geometry, Topology, Algebra, and Applications (GEOMVAP) at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC). Namely, it contains extended abstracts of the group meeting in Cardona and of the international Workshop of Women in Geometry and Topology aligned with a series of workshops in the topic. As such, it includes a panoramic view of the main research interests of the group which focus on varieties and manifolds from the algebraic, topological and differential perspective with a view towards applications.
