Roger Waters is Pink Floyd's grand conceptualist, the driving force behind such albums as Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, and The Wall. In the wake of Syd Barrett's departure, Waters emerged as a formidable songwriter, but it's this stretch of '70s albums – each one nearly symphonic in its reach – that established him as a distinctive, idiosyncratic voice within rock and, following his departure from Floyd in 1985, he continued to create new works in this vein (notably, 1992's Amused to Death) and capitalized on the enduring popularity of his old band by staging live revivals of Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall in their entireties.

Music From The Body is the 1970 soundtrack album for the film The Body, directed by Roy Battersby. The music is a collaboration between Roger Waters (then of Pink Floyd) and Ron Geesin, who worked with Pink Floyd to co-write "Atom Heart Mother". Waters' pieces sound like what Pink Floyd were making between Ummagumma, Atom Heart Mother, and Zabriskie Point while Geesin is as twisted and unpredictable as much of his work has been. It sounds like what you'd expect from a "rock" soundtrack album from 1970, with music allegedly using parts of the body as a medium. The version of "Breathe" here has been said to be a precursor to what Waters would write again when putting together Dark Side Of The Moon. This is taken from the 1989 CD released by Harvest/EMI.

The Later Years is a box set by British rock band Pink Floyd released on 13 December 2019 by Pink Floyd Records. It follows the boxset The Early Years 1965–1972 (2016), and concentrates on Pink Floyd's work under the leadership of David Gilmour after the departure of founding member Roger Waters. The boxset includes the albums A Momentary Lapse of Reason (1987), The Division Bell (1994), and The Endless River (2014). It also includes a remixed version of A Momentary Lapse of Reason, with restored contributions by keyboardist Richard Wright and new contributions by drummer Nick Mason, to "restore the creative balance between the three Pink Floyd members". Also included is an expanded version of the 1988 live album Delicate Sound of Thunder with additional tracks; a live recording of Pink Floyd's headline performance at the Knebworth 1990 charity concert; a previously unreleased concert film from Pink Floyd's performance in Venice; 5.1 surround sound mixes; and memorabilia.
