Aunque sea una artista permeable a otras influencias y estilos –como atestiguan sus incursiones en la música urbana con C.Tangana–, Rosalía es, sobre todo, cantaora flamenca. Para ello se ha educado y preparado concienzudamente desde hace años: esa intro con una voz infantil –la del hijo de Raül Refree, en realidad– recitando la letra de ‘Toma este puñal dorao’ parece un autohomenaje a esa entrega desde su niñez. Su carrera se ha enfocado en esa faceta desde el principio, y así, ha formado parte, en su día, tanto del cuadro de Rocío Márquez como de otros proyectos inspirados en el cante antiguo. También se ha encargado de dejarlo claro en las múltiples entrevistas (por ejemplo, en la que meses atrás le hicimos en esta página) que está ofreciendo. Pero, sobre todo, es su música la que lo dice.
