The Roxbox (Roxette 86-06) is a boxed set compilation by Swedish pop duo Roxette, released on 18 October 2006 by Roxette Recordings and Capitol. It is an expanded companion piece to the single-disc greatest hits album A Collection of Roxette Hits - Their 20 Greatest Songs!, which was also released on the same date. The box set consists of four CDs containing singles, album tracks, non-album singles and b-sides, as well as previously unreleased outtakes, alternate versions and demos. It also includes two DVDs: the first is of their previously unreleased 9 January 1993 performance at the Cirkus arena in Stockholm for MTV Unplugged; the second contains every music video ever recorded by the duo.

The remix saga of Roxette started early on. We released the “Dance Passion” album which contained remixes of a few songs from our debut album “Pearls Of Passion” in 1987. To tell the truth, I never listened to D.P. that much. And I’m pretty sure Marie didn’t listen to it at all. No, that album wasn’t really our cup of tea. However, time went by and before long we found out about new amazing DJ’s, remixers and producers doing stunning stuff to original and great songs. We definitely wanted to be part of that journey! It’s very exciting to hear new interpretations of your own music, made by talented people coming in with new ideas from different angles. Now, after 35+ years, it’s time for the collected works. The Roxette Remixes. ROX RMX.

Gyllene Tider was formed in Halmstad in 1977, out of a duo called Grape Rock, consisting of vocalist, keyboard player, and guitarist Per Gessle and guitarist Mats Persson. (…) During the promotional tour, they performed as Roxette, but it was not the Roxette that Gessle would later form together with Marie Fredriksson, but merely a renamed Gyllene Tider. After this second failure, the band split up, and Gessle started to pursue a solo career and plan for a record company of his own; until in 1986 he formed the real Roxette.

Although Lee sadly died in 1994, Dr. Feelgood are still gigging extensively and recording new albums. And long many they continue to do so!
