This cd is chock full of tunes you may remember from when you were a child. Chances are that many of them were already vintage tunes even then. But try to find a good recording of Teddy Bear's Picnic and Ragtime Cowboy Joe. The recordings range from the '20s to the '50s, and it's interesting to see how much we have lost in children's music. Nostalgic and fun.

For an artist whose career began 20 years ago, Matthew Ryan is getting attention of late as if he’s the new kid in town. The Chester, Pennsylvania native received some of the best notices of his career for his 2014 album Boxers, a collection of chest-pounding rockers and desolate ballads that showcased his anthemic songwriting and hoarse-throated vocals to great effect. His newest release, Hustle Up Starlings, continues in that vein, with some subtle changes. The 11th studio album from the Canadian singer/songwriter. Allison Pierce is launching the second chapter of her distinguished career with her new album Year of the Rabbit, an eloquent straight-from-the-heart solo debut. The new album finds Pierce transformed following two decades of recording and performing with her sister Catherine as The Pierces. The duo's five albums and constant tours brought them critical acclaim and a loyal fan base. But as the years passed, each longed to express herself unfettered by the other and in 2015, The Pierces called it quits, whereupon the sisters launched solo careers.

Kossoff, Kirke, Tetsu and Rabbit is the 1972 rock album made by guitarist Paul Kossoff, drummer Simon Kirke, bassist Tetsu Yamauchi and keyboard player John "Rabbit" Bundrick. Recorded after Free disbanded, drummer Kirke elected to remain with guitar player Paul Kossoff forming a quartet with Bundrick and Yamauchi in 1971. Although well received and filled with quality songwriting, "Kossoff, Kirke, Tetsu, Rabbit" suffered from the lack of a strong lead vocalist like Rodgers. Kirke's song "Anna" was later re-recorded with Bad Company, the band that he and Rodgers established after the final breakup of Free. The album was reissued in 2007 by Ork Records, a division of Cherry Red, in a remastered edition with a 12-page booklet featuring an interview with Bundrick.
