Rys

Set during the German occupation of Poland during the WWII. A priest in a small village meets "the devil" in the confessional, who appears as a revolutionary on an assignemnt to kill a collaborator.

Boccherini finished the cycle of six quintets in 1797 with an opus number of 55, two years later, they were published in Paris under the opus number 45. In 2001, this work was recorded by a member of the Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra, the obelisk Zdeněk Rys together with the Apollon Quartet (Pavel Kudelášek Radek Krizanovsky - violin, Pavel Ciprys - viola and Pavel Verner - violoncello).

Fuzzy, imaginative, and just a little demented, Red Dirt, Yellow Snow brings together a myriad of fantastic elements. Behind it all is multi-hyphenated mastermind Jack Rys, who previously led the area band Teatime for Three (as well as all its various monikers). The Erie native now attends NYU, having recently completed his feature length film Paper Planes. This album starts off with a "Duck and Cover" sample from the atomic age, giving way to a mournful chord organ refrain. Harmonic minor melodies are sung as a dirge through thick vocal distortion a la Tom Waits or Jack White.

Il momento è giunto, Lia è abbastanza forte da sferrare il suo attacco. Le strade della città stanno per riempirsi di cadaveri. Morte e distruzione sono in agguato. Al suo passaggio le Radici muoiono, rendendo Rys cieco. La base stessa del suo potere è compromessa. Quella rete sotterranea che si estende per l’intero perimetro cittadino e che gli consente di dominare ogni essere umano è ora in pericolo. Se le radici seccheranno lui sarà inerme. Il passo seguente è inevitabile: se Lia vuole averlo in suo potere dovrà distruggere la Corte. Annientare quei ragazzi, uno dopo l’altro. Solo così riuscirà a indebolirlo, privandolo di ogni nutrimento. Rys è impotente, impazzisce all’idea di perdere la Corte. In uno scontro diretto potrebbe battere il demone con facilità, ma Lia non è tanto avventata. Intende demolirlo un po’ alla volta, privandolo di tutto ciò a cui tiene. Non resta che una soluzione: chiedere aiuto. Proprio a coloro che ha sempre usato, sfruttato e buttato via. A chi è arrivato persino a odiarlo.
