Eu când vreau să fluier, fluier / If I Want to Whistle, I Whistle - by Florin Şerban (2010)

Silviu, a young man who has spent years in a youth penitentiary, is granted release. Before he can leave, his mother returns to Romania to bring his little brother to Italy with her, despite Silviu's objections. He meets a young woman, Ana, who is working on a research project in the prison, and becomes interested in her. In his desperation Silviu resorts to violence, and Ana becomes his hostage.

César Borgnoli (Christian Clavier) war eigentlich immer reich und hat sich darum nie wirklich um sein Geld und seine Ausgaben gekümmert. Plötzlich steht er vor dem finanziellen Ruin und weiß sich nicht recht zu helfen. Gut das César viele, nette Verwandte hat. Ziemlich schnell bietet seine Schwester Alex (Héléna Noguerra) ihm ihre Hilfe an. Sie will César finanziell unter die Arme greifen, jedoch nicht bloß aus Nächstenliebe, wie César bald feststellen muss. Alex wünscht sich zusammen mit ihrer Partnerin Kim (Muriel Robin) schon seit einiger Zeit ein Baby, doch darf man als gleichgeschlechtliches Paar keine Kinder aus Thailand adoptieren.

Early film Godard and one of the most significant films of the French New Wave.
