Parti le 31 juillet 1944 de la base aérienne de Bastia, en mission de photographies aériennes, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry a disparu en plein ciel et en pleine gloire, à l'âge de 44 ans. Ainsi s'effaçait de la Terre des hommes, sans laisser de traces, un vieil enfant talentueux, homme de rêve et d'action, définitivement propulsé dans la légende. Définitivement, rien n'est moins sûr. La découverte sous-marine, en 1998, d'une gourmette lui ayant appartenu, puis, début 2000, de l'épave d'un Lightning P38 qui pourrait être celui de l'auteur du «Petit Prince», mettront peut-être bientôt fin à l'incertitude. Le plongeur Henri Delauze et quelques autres passionnés n'ont de cesse de lever le dernier voile sur ce mystère.

Based on the classic book of the same name by Antoine de Saint Exupéry, the fable tells the story of a pilot (played by Richard Kiley) forced to make an emergency landing in the Sahara Desert. There he is befriended by a young boy, the Little Prince from Asteroid B-612. In the days that follow, the Pilot hears about his past and various journeys throughout the Solar System. As he travels through space, the Little Prince encounters several strange grown-ups on different planetoids, all with a skewed way of looking at life. But it is not until he finally reaches Earth, that the Little Prince learns his most important life lessons of all (mainly from the Fox played by Gene Wilder, and the Snake played by Bob Fosse). These lessons the Little Prince shares with the Pilot, before he dies.

En 1974, Stanley Donen décide pour la première fois de traduire sur grand écran l'une des plus belles oeuvres de la littérature française. L'idée était ambitieuse. Mais sa parfaite maîtrise de la caméra, l'inspiration des comédiens, la musique enchanteresse et les décors féeriques ont contribué à faire de cette tentative un authentique chef-d'oeuvre de poésie.

Based on the story by Antoine de Saint-Exupery, this magical musical fable begins as a pilot makes a forced landing on the barren Sahara Desert. He is befriended by a "little" prince from the planet Asteroid B-612. In the days that follow, the pilot learns of the small boy's history and planet-hopping journeys in which he met a King, a businessman, an historian, and a general. It isn't until he comes to Earth that the Little Prince learns the secrets of the importance of life from a Fox, a Snake, and the pilot.

Jacques (Jack) vagabonde à travers la Belgique, déguisé en cow-boy. Il rencontre bientôt quelques rêveurs de son genre et les entraîne dans une exploitation minière désaffectée où ils réinventent le Far-West de leur enfance. Vie heureuse, troublée seulement par une attaque des indiens (les jaloux, les envieux, les voyous de la ville voisine). Mais le "chercheur d'or" découvre, dans la mine de charbon, un trésor de guerre dissimulé là par les nazis en 1944. Jacques part en compagnie d'une jeune Noire paralysée des deux jambes pour faire cadeau de cet or au Roi. Il ne le rencontre pas, mais son étrange pouvoir de faire s'abattre les murailles en s'appuyant simplement contre elles, inquiète les autorités qui l'enferment. Il s'évade naturellement dès qu'on le laisse s'approcher d'un mur et retrouve sa jeune amie paralytique et son plus vieux compagnon, les autres s'étant enfuis avec l'or allemand. Le gouvernement, qui les croit toujours en possession du trésor, les fait abattre par ses blindés…
