Parti le 31 juillet 1944 de la base aérienne de Bastia, en mission de photographies aériennes, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry a disparu en plein ciel et en pleine gloire, à l'âge de 44 ans. Ainsi s'effaçait de la Terre des hommes, sans laisser de traces, un vieil enfant talentueux, homme de rêve et d'action, définitivement propulsé dans la légende. Définitivement, rien n'est moins sûr. La découverte sous-marine, en 1998, d'une gourmette lui ayant appartenu, puis, début 2000, de l'épave d'un Lightning P38 qui pourrait être celui de l'auteur du «Petit Prince», mettront peut-être bientôt fin à l'incertitude. Le plongeur Henri Delauze et quelques autres passionnés n'ont de cesse de lever le dernier voile sur ce mystère.
