And credit their persistence, because by the mid-'90s the long suffering quintet had begun to overcome an incredibly long streak of bad business decisions and misguided artistic directions to forge a respectable comeback – primarily in Europe…

Although they will likely never retrieve the same commercial relevance they enjoyed in the early '80s, New Wave of British Heavy Metal standard bearers Saxon continue to do their legacy proud as they move through their third decade of recording activity. 2007's The Inner Sanctum is the group's seventeenth studio album, the eighth since renouncing their lost weekend as hapless hair metal wannabes in the late '80s, and their first in ten years to feature returning longtime drummer Nigel Glockler, whose famously busy hands and feet appear to have lost nothing to age (almost suspiciously so, in fact)…

WITH A storming new stomp in their boots and a renewed, lithe swagger to their legendary sound, Saxon will release “Sacrifice”, in March 2013 through UDR. Taking a sharper, re-invigorated approach to the production, on this, their 20th album, Saxon have produced 10 of their strongest, heaviest and most inspired songs for many-a-year, and a more than worthy successor to their last album “A Call To Arms”. “Less tricks, more power!” roars frontman and founding father Biff Byford, “my brief to the band was to be raw, be real and not be afraid to look back at the old classic material for inspiration.”

Live Innocence - The Power and the Glory is a DVD released by heavy metal band Saxon in 2003. This DVD has combined two VHS videos released in the late 80's: Live Innocence released in 1986 and Power & The Glory, The Video Anthology released in 1989…
