Improving student learning with the tools of neuroscience and mindfulness.

If the status and quality of science education in schools is to improve,efforts need to be made to better understand the classroom practices of effective science teachers. Teachers are key players in a re-imagining of science education.

This book examines educational semiotics and the representation of knowledge in school science. It discusses the strategic integration of animation in science education. It explores how learning through the creation of science animations takes place, as well as how animation can be used in assessing student’s science learning.

The Summer School in Marktoberdorf 1990 had as its overall theme the development of programs as an activity that can be carried out based on and supported by a mathematical method. In particular mathematical methods for the development of programs as parts of distributed systems were included. Mathematical programming methods are a very important topic for which a lot of research in recent years has been carried out.
