September Jak3

September grew out of the short-lived super-group project Jugoslovenska Pop Selekcija in September 1975, whose members included Tihomir Pop Asanovic-organ, Janez Boncina-vocals, guitar, Braco Doblekar-percussion, congas and Ratko Divjak- drums. Charley Novak on bass and formally educated musician Pero Ugrin on electric violin and trumpet joined soon for the recording of the first album, ironically titled "Zadnja avantura" (Eng. "The Last Adventure"). The album was recorded in February 1976 in Ljubljana and released shortly afterwards but passed largely unnoticed. This is in fact a pure gem of Yugoslavian jazz fusion that lacked popularity simply because there was no single hit song on it that would draw attention of the wider public…

Four September Suns is a showcase for composer/performer Tino Izzo's many and varied guitar sounds and moods… Tino has created a modern guitar lover's dream disc and as such will appeal to fans of Mike Oldfield's New age tendencies. Every cut on this album will capture your imagination with Tino's versatile guitar playing that is both energetic and soothing.

By 1972 Miles Davis was firmly established as the most innovative and influential jazz artist on the planet. Taped between the recording and release of his controversial On The Corner album, this dense, polyrhythmic set captures the first of four consecutive performances he gave at Paul’s Mall in Boston, showcasing a new, Indian-influenced sound, and was originally broadcast on the local WBCN-FM station. It’s presented here together with background notes and images.

Presented on TWO DVD's is footage from the 2019 edition of Italy's Veruno Prog Festival. Participating bands included Iron Butterfly, Caravan, Arena, Il Balletto di Bronzo, Lazuli, Alan Simon's Excalibur, Acqua Fragile and others.

Covering the singles released from September of 1985 to June of 1987, the third five-disc installment of the Themes boxes covers the Once Upon a Time era and stretches out to include the live-version single of "Promised You a Miracle" that was issued in support of 1987's Live in the City of Light…
