"The Carnegie Hall Concert: June 18, 1971" was Carole King's first concert performance in front of an audience. Performed on June 18, 1971, it was released years later, in 1996, as an album. This album has seventeen live songs. Some songs included: "Will You Love Me Tomorrow?", "You've Got a Friend", "Child of Mine", "I Feel the Earth Move", "It's Too Late", "Beautiful", "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman", "After All This Time", "Carry Your Load", "Song of Long Ago" and "Home Again". James Taylor, a friend of King, accompanied her on "Will You Love Me Tomorrow?", "Up on the Roof", and "You've Got a Friend". Before she started singing, an old saying went into her mind, "How did the man get to Carnegie Hall?" Out loud she said the answer "Practice man, practice!" Then she performed.

The Kinks are an English rock band formed in Muswell Hill, North London, in 1964 by brothers Ray and Dave Davies. They are regarded as one of the most influential rock bands of the 1960s. The band emerged during the height of British rhythm and blues and Merseybeat, and were briefly part of the British Invasion of the United States until their touring ban in 1965 (as a result of constant fighting between the brothers). Their third single, the Ray Davies-penned "You Really Got Me", became an international hit, topping the charts in the United Kingdom and reaching the Top 10 in the United States…

By 1976, the immense creativity that had spurred Elton John to record 11 studio albums in under seven years was beginning to show signs of inevitable fatigue. Although initially Blue Moves was summarily dismissed by both critics as well as longtime enthusiasts, the double LP has since gained considerable stature within John's voluminous catalog. While comparisons were inevitable to the landmark two-disc Goodbye Yellow Brick Road song cycle from 1973, most similarities in musical style and content end there.

Henry Lee Summer (born Henry Lee Swartz; July 5, 1955) is an American rock singer and musician from Indiana. He recorded several successful albums for Epic during the 1980s and 1990s and toured with Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eddie Money, The Doobie Brothers, Chicago, Don Henley, Robert Palmer, Cheap Trick, 38 Special, and Richard Marx. Summer also shared the stage with John Mellencamp at a show in Indianapolis (1988) and another in Bloomington, Indiana (1992) that drew over 40,000 fans. He has also worked with Jimmy Rip, Graham Maby, Leigh Foxx, and Michael Organ. On February 9, 2014, he was inducted into the Wabash Valley Musicians Hall of Fame. Summer's song "I Wish I Had a Girl" (#1 Mainstream Rock Hit, #20 on the Billboard Hot 100) was recorded for his 1985 album Time for Big Fun, but the song was re-recorded and released on his self-titled debut album on Epic three years later (1988). This revamped version became the hit.

Seizing his moment with a tight set of glimmering pop confections, Australian singer/songwriter Troye Sivan embraces his role as a budding LGBT icon with Bloom, his aptly titled sophomore effort that signals his sexual awakening and personal growth into adulthood. On his 2016 debut, Blue Neighbourhood, fans met the boy; here, Sivan introduces them to a bold and fearless man. Brave and unapologetic, Bloom bursts forth with confidence, grace, and poise, allowing listeners to peek into a world that includes fumbles and mistakes, but also pure joy and romance. On the opener, "Seventeen," Sivan dives right in, recounting the loss of his virginity to an older man. Given the age gap, it's an uncomfortable but ultimately important moment for Sivan, both a rite of passage and endearing coming-of-age touchstone.

"A Single Man", released in 1978, is the 12th studio album release for Elton John. It is the first album where Gary Osborne replaced Bernie Taupin as lyricist. It is also the only Elton John album to not have any tracks co-written by Bernie Taupin on the original cut. The album was released on 16 October 1978 by MCA in America, and by Rocket in the UK. Singles from the album were "Part-Time Love", October 1978; "Song for Guy", November 1978; and "Return to Paradise", 1979. "Song for Guy" was a near-global success, charting high everywhere except the US and Canada, where John's label, MCA Records, did not feel that it had hit potential. "A Single Man" was John's first album ever to be officially released in the former USSR. In the US, A Single Man was certified Gold in October 1978 and Platinum in November of the same year by the RIAA. Like with many of John's releases of the late-70s and the 1980s, it received generally mixed reviews from critics.
