Silence Martin

Silence, l'atteso film sulla fede e la religione del regista premio Oscar Martin Scorsese, racconta la storia di due missionari portoghesi che nel XVII secolo intraprendono un lungo viaggio irto di pericoli per raggiungere il Giappone, alla ricerca del loro mentore scomparso, padre Christovao Ferreira, e per diffondere il cristianesimo. Scorsese dirige Silence da una sceneggiatura scritta da lui stesso con Jay Cocks. Il film, basato sul romanzo di Shusaku Endo del 1966, esamina il problema spirituale e religioso del silenzio di Dio di fronte alle sofferenze umane.

Martin Küchen is among the most thoughtful of saxophonists. His solo work often involves thematic content and one suspects he deeply considers his approaches to that content, even as (I imagine) a good portion of the actual playing is improvised.

Composed in 1944 and first performed at the Salle Gaveau in Paris on 26 March 1945 by Yvonne Loriod, this is the second great pianistic cycle by Olivier Messiaen: a major work indeed, not only in the composer’s oeuvre but in the entire repertoire for solo piano.

"Return From The Shadows" is a perfect follow-up to the debut album "Gallery of Life" and feels like a more mature and focused album. The impressive song-writing and melodies are still there, and together with heavy riffs, symphonic arrangements and epic parts the result is a really strong album! The album was mixed and mastered by Roland Grapow (Masterplan, ex. Helloween) and the artwork was created by Jan Yrlund (Delain, Apocalyptica, Korpiklaani). "Return From The Shadows" is a perfect album for fans of bands like Theocracy, Sonata Arctica and Stratovarius!
