For close to 200 years, one carol has occupied the heart of Christmas celebrations across the world. Join renowned actor Simon Callow as he uncovers the moving origins of 'Silent Night', visiting the city where the famed carol had its origins.The story of Silent Night is fascinating: the carol was created in less than a day and sung for the first time at midnight mass in St Nicholas Church in Oberndorf, Austria.The assistant pastor, Joseph Mohr, who wrote the words, performed it with the choir director, Franz Xaver Gruber, accompanied by choir and Mohr’s guitar.

Thornton Sayre, a respected college professor, is plagued when his old movies are shown on TV and sets out with his daughter to stop it. However, his former co-star is the hostess of the TV show playing his films and she has other plans.

The Stranger comes across some bad guys trying to kill a Japanese emissary for a very important scroll. Before the emissary dies, he asks The Stranger to return the scroll to Japan. Once there he finds himself stuck in the middle of two rival clans and decides to play them off one against each other to free the town.
