Brand new music from Ellie Goulding, Snow Patrol, a new collaboration project with Tame Impala and Kendrick Lamar, M83, A$AP Rocky featuring Gesaffelstein, Pretty Lights, Skrillex and Pia Mia featuring Chance The Rapper are featured on the Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, and prominently featured in the film. Goulding also contributes vocals to the film’s score, composed by Grammy-nominated and multi-platinum electronic artist Junkie XL and executive produced by Grammy and Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer (The Dark Knight, Inception).

Ignored by the majority but adored by a faithful, modest few, Failsworth, Manchester's Puressence were something of a contradiction in terms. Although they shared a laddish image and an implied arrogance with the mid-'90s incarnations of other north west England indie rock acts such as Oasis and the Charlatans, the high-register, ethereal vocals of frontman James Mudriczki pointed to something altogether more sophisticated. Claims that the band met on a bus on the way to the Stone Roses' legendary May 1990 gig at Spike Island, helped fuel and maintain their down-to-earth credentials, while in contrast their music represented a transcendence of the mundane – similarly executed during this period by acts such as Aberdeen, Scotland's Geneva, and later by Southampton's the Delays.

Singer/songwriter/guitarist Ricky Warwick was cut from the cloth of a mill workers jacket, embracing no-frills, emotionally direct, pure music exemplified by such American influences as Johnny Cash, Bruce Springsteen and Steve Earle. Born in County Down, Northern Ireland, a teenage Ricky relocated to Scotland and got his first taste of rock n roll when he was asked to join UK punk/folk band New Model Army as an additional guitarist…
