Back Lot Music will release a score album for the action movie Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw. The album features the film’s original music composed by Tyler Bates (Guardians of the Galaxy, Deadpool 2, John Wick, 300, The Punisher, Watchmen). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, August 2 and will be available to download here. As previously reported, the label has already released a separate soundtrack album featuring the songs from the movie. Hobbs & Shaw directed by David Leitch and starring Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Idris Elba, Vanessa Kirby and Helen Mirren is opening in theaters nationwide this weekend.

Brimstone is a Western thrilled directed by Martin Koolhoven and starring Dakota Fanning, Guy Pearce, and Kit Harington. The film follows a young woman (Fanning) accused of a crime she did not commit. Her situation turns into a desperate fight for survival as a fiery reverend (Pearce) makes it his mission to bring her to “justice”. The original soundtrack to Brimstone was composed by Tom Holkenborg, also known as Junkie XL (Deadpool, Mad Max: Fury Road). Inspired by Bach’s organ masterpiece “Passacaglia and Fugue in C Minor”, Holkenborg has crafted a classic score heavy with the rich, full sounds of a massive orchestra. This release is not to be missed.

A composer, producer, DJ, and multi-instrumentalist who has charted internationally with both his electronic music and his film scores, the Netherlands' Tom Holkenborg is also known as Junkie XL. Though he began his career as musician/producer in bands such as Weekend at Waikiki and Nerve in the late '80s and early '90s, he made his name in big beat music with the Junkie XL moniker in the late '90s. His cover of Elvis Presley's "A Little Less Conversation," released as "Elvis vs. JXL," topped the charts in over a dozen countries in 2002. In the meantime, he found work scoring the occasional video game or film, a sideline that picked up substantially toward the end of the 2000s. By the mid-2010s, he was composing music for such blockbusters as Mad Max: Fury Road, Deadpool, and, with frequent partner Hans Zimmer, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Jonathan Beard creates music for media and the concert stage. As a composer, his recent projects include scoring the feature film Frank vs. God; serving on the composing teams for video games Star Wars Battlefront and Star Wars Old Republic: Knights Of The Fallen Empire; and guest-composing for ABC's Once Upon A Time. For the stage, Jonathan co-composed the oratorio The Passion Of Anne Frank for the Los Angeles Master Chorale as part of their Voices Within residency, and his original theatre-score for Driving Miss Daisy received an NAACP Theatre Award nomination. He also recently completed the I-Park Foundation Artist Residency for his in-progress electroacoustic opera Cesare, Child Of Night.
