Blessed with a warm voice and charismatic stage presence, Jenkins achieved wide recognition in 2003 after performing at Westminster Cathedral during Pope John Paul II's silver jubilee. Buoyed by that appearance, her 2004 debut, Premiere, hit number one on the U.K. Classical Album Chart. She has enjoyed both critical and commercial success since, with six of her albums reaching the top of the U.K. classical charts. Two of those albums, 2004's Second Nature, and 2005's Living a Dream, also took home the Classic Brit Award for Album of the Year.

Pianist Georges Pludermacher is recognized for his wide repertory, having emphasized adventurous contemporary works at a time when that was uncommon. He is equally active as a solo pianist, a performer of concertos, and a chamber music player. Pludermacher was born on July 26, 1944, in Guéret, in occupied France. He took up the piano at three, and at 11, he enrolled at the Paris Conservatory. In the summers, he took courses with Géza Anda in Lucerne, Switzerland, and when he completed his studies at the Conservatory at 19, he took the school's first prizes in piano, chamber music, and accompaniment. His career has incorporated all three of these specialties.

A second volume of the Guy Segers project where the basic live band session is enhanced by an extensive post production involving contributions from a wide range of musicians. This time round several tracks in the collection are focussed around the intense and distinctive voice of Carla Diratz. Overall, Reflection In A Moebius Ring Mirror is a release of unparalleled scope, almost astounding in its reach, but with its beauty and sense of questing allowing the listener opportunities to immerse themselves. The players are all superb, and Guy’s way around the studio means that his constructed tracks are seamless yet exploratory. It is well worth taking a dip into these welcoming waters - but watch out for the currents.

Forceful delivery, well-constructed improvisations, and a distinctive, wide vibrato characterized Bechet's playing.
