The Scandinavian Space Rock super group are back with their 33rd release. The CD/LP features one 62min track split over 3 album sides., that we recorded in the studio back in 2014. The same session that gave us the Different Creatures and Visions of, LPs and features some of the best musicians from the Scandinavian prog rock field. This is about as Prog Rock as the band has ever been with the track taking many different musical journeys over the 3 album sides. Side D of the vinyl contains a full length version (CD contains an edit) that is a unique mixture of Indian raga and space music with just synthesizer (Dr Space), sitar (KG), violin (Jonathan), bass (Hasse) and drums (Tim) from our 2016 studio session.
Founded by Scott Heller aka Dr. Space (synth, management) in 2004 Øresund Space Collective are a multinational crew which get together as often as possible to play free form improvised space rock music. The band name derives from the Øresund Bridge, connecting Denmark and Sweden since the year 2000. The purpose is to offer another flavour with every new session. This is guaranteed by everlasting line-up changes. The whole OSC family comprises more than 30 members in the meanwhile, temporarily entrusted by nearly every existing Nordic psych/space band. They have toured all over in Europe whilst collaborating with Sula Bassana and others. The musical trademark is provided by a grooving backbone in general…
This is the bands 27th (?) studio album release and 38th physical release. The material on this record was recorded in October 2010 on the 2nd day of recording and featured a lot of different musicians from Days 1 and 3. Some of the material from this session was previously released on a bandcamp subscriber LP. The main track on that album, Crusin´with the Alien Crew, appears as a bonus track on the CD version as well as one additional bonus track not on the LP (*). Some of the tracks have been edited for the vinyl edition which will come out later in the year. A lot of the material has a funky nature but it is a very diverse album with a nice chill out sitar number, a uptempo country track and a lot of space rock!!!

This is the last material from our amazing studio session from Nov 2016 that we will release for now. A truly eclectic album featuring material that ranges from Afrobeat like to Miles Davis to Tangerine Dream… A sonic journey…

Øresund Space Collective is a space rock collective that over 50 different musicians have played in from primarily Denmark and Sweden. The band started out jamming in the rehearsal rooms in Copenhagen and Malmö back in 2004 and since then has created 25 records and played all over Europe and even Las Vegas (2016). This album was created in November 2016 and features the following musicians: Magnus (guitar, synths), Hasse (doun douns, bass, talking drum), Dr Space (synths), Jiri (bass), Tim (drums), KG (sitar, guitar, synths), and Jonathan (violin, guitar, bass, farfisa, and others). ‘Reflections…’ is an album side track featuring sitar and violin. ‘ESP’ is a more electronic synth based track to start and later has some heavy guitar. ‘The Oracle’ is the main track of the album, a 40min adventure starting with a synth drone and eastern vibe but then it takes off into space. Features some of the most amazing sitar and very cool violin.
Live from the Sneaky Snake Festival at Urban Spree in Berlin, Germany on June 2nd, 2018. It was the last show of a 9 concert tour and the band was on fire! Epic guitar solos and one mind-blowing synth solo to complete an amazing musical tour. Enjoy!
ØSC had been at the Black Tornado recording back in November but our friend Gary (Yawning Man) was in town and wanted to jam. It had been a long time since the main touring band of ØSC (Nick, Jiri, Mogens, myself) had been in the studio. We grabbed Martin, who plays with Nick, Jiri and Mogens in the Univerzals as well as with Jiri in his band, Fri Galaxe to play drums. He had played quite a few gigs with us in Denmark the last years. Nicklas from Papir, was a great choice to play with Gary as both are fans of each other and we love to play with Nicklas. We had a cool band.
