St. Lucia's (aka Jean-Philip Grobler) second album continues his love of 80s inflected pop. "Matter" is the much anticipated follow-up to St. Lucia s breakthrough debut album, 'When The Night'. The new album is produced by Chris Zane (Passion Pit, The Walkmen), and is a departure for principal songwriter and bandleader Jean-Philip Grobler, who takes a more direct, essential approach. In his words, "If the last album sounded like the tropics, this album is the desert". St. Lucia's version of the desert is still an inviting place, though, one inspired by blending Grobler's fearless embrace of 80's pop, R&B, and alternative rock influences into an instantly captivating concoction.

Led by husband-and-wife duo South Africa-born Jean-Philip Grobler and Germany-born Patti Beranek, St. Lucia retreats from a fractured world on fire and into the glow of a rapturous synth-spiked electro-pop catharsis—like a dance party at the edge of existence. On the aptly titled Utopia I EP, St. Lucia beams out a light of its own and shines brighter than ever.

Hyperion is the new album from St. Lucia. This new album collection two critically acclaimed albums: 2016's Matter and 2013 s When The Night. Hyperion features 11 new tracks, including 'Paradise Waiting,' and 'A Brighter Love' the first two songs to be released from the album. Says St. Lucia frontman Jean-Philip Grobler: "These songs couldn't be more different, but we're so proud of them both. Paradise Is Waiting might be the most epic thing we've ever done, and 'A Brighter Love' is probably the sparsest. It was really hard choosing which songs to lead with, but we felt like these two best represent the extremes of our new music."
