On September 13th, 1978, the RAMONES were guests in the TV-studios of Radio Bremen. It was the first tv-appearance of the band in Europe at all. For the at that time successful tv-series MUSIKLADEN they played 25 titles in more than 50 minutes and left an ecstatic audience. This performance is pretty famous and here is this unbelievable appearance - unabridged with all encores for the first time on vinyl & DVD.

The revolutionary Drums And Wires, from 1979, is the second in a series of expanded XTC album reissues, including 5.1 Surround mixes, new stereo mixes and High-Resolution stereo mixes of the original material, along with a wealth of extra audio and visual material. All copies come with an exclusive postcard signed by Andy Partridge (while stocks last). Steven Wilson produced the mixes with the input of founder band member Andy Partridge and the full approval of the band. This cd/blu-ray edition is presented in special packaging with an expanded booklet and sleeve-notes by Andy Partridge, Colin Moulding and Dave Gregory.

Average White Band are widely and rightly regarded as one of the best ever soul and funk bands. Decca/London introduced Phase 4 Stereo in 1961. For classical music, the Phase 4 approach was based on miking every orchestra section individually, along with mics for selected instruments – up to a maximum of 20 channels, which were then mixed via a recording console. This resulted in a dynamic, in your face sound with relatively little hall ambience. The quality of the sound mostly depended on how skillfully the recording engineer balanced each channel – and the results were not always consistent. Thus, the Phase 4 sound was the antithesis of the minimally miked, “simplicity is wisdom” approach of the RCA’s early Living Stereo and Mercury’s Living Presence recordings, along with Telarc’s early digital recordings.
