A good collection of Australian music from the seventies, although often not the biggest hits of the included artists. It's also not all 'pop'. Quite alot of it is actually rock. The most notable inclusion here is Cheetah's "Walking in the Rain" a cover of the Ronette's 1964 original.

The Decade box chronicles the ten-year period after I moved to New York City in the mid-nineties. It's the decade where I caught air, to use a sports metaphor. I wrote more songs, made more albums and toured more than any period before or since. Maybe it was the excitement and energy of living in a new city–I'd always been in love with Manhattan and it was a "pinch me" period where I couldn't believe I was finally living here. I went out constantly, fully embraced the city and nightlife and sights and sounds and that excitement came out in the music. It was that thing that writers always dream about, that state where you can barely keep up with all the ideas you're having. I didn't have time for writer's block. I was just a stenographer to the muse that wouldn't leave me alone or let me slow down.

Wisconsin-born, Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter and guitarist, Jared James Nichols, returns with his new album “Black Magic” which is the follow up to 2015’s debut album “Old Glory & The Wild Revival”. “Black Magic” features 10 tracks and will be released by Listenable Records on Friday 27th October. All tracks on the new album were recorded at The Boneyard in Boston as well as Johnny Depp's home studio in Los Angeles and produced and co-written by Tony Perry and Jared James Nichols. Jared will be special guest on Stone Broken’s February and March UK tour which also features The Bad Flowers. The tour kicks off Thursday 22nd February at the Haunt in Brighton. Growing out of the American underground of the late '80s, Liz Phair fused lo-fi indie rock production techniques with the sensibility and structure of classic singer/songwriters. Exile in Guyville, her gold-selling debut album, was enthusiastically praised upon its 1993 release, and spawned a rash of imitators during the following years, particularly American female singer/songwriters. For her part, Phair wasn't able to fully break into the mainstream, even with the support of the press and MTV. Whip-Smart, her second album, was heavily promoted upon its 1994 release, yet despite its relatively strong chart positions, it was viewed as a disappointment, and Phair's momentum declined steadily during the mid-'90s, as she took several years to record her third album.
