I just finished my collection about many version of the song named "SUMMERTIME". If anyone has another difference version of it, please share with me and the others.

Summertime Blues: Gems From The Parlophone Vaults is a 2CD compilation released by One Day Music in 2012. It is a collection of music released by the British label Parlophone but it is not exclusive to British artists, as it also has its share of American artists who had hits in the United Kingdom. It also shows what Parlophone Records was like before it became the label for The Beatles for six years.

This CD album covers the entire thematic spectrum on the subject of 'summer'! Special songs of the '50s and early '60s, which deal with bathing and beach, sunburn, ice cream and barbecue and, of course, love on warm summer nights. A little bit of Italy must not be missing. Summer time is party time. That was our focus when compiling this CD. Whether the party takes place at the pool, on the beach, in your own garden or at the lake. An exuberant summer party in the warmth of the sun or on a warm summer night is now musically supported. Music for dancing and dreaming and simply for having a good time. "Summertime Dream" is Canadian singer Gordon Lightfoot's 12th original album, released on the Reprise Records label in 1976. It peaked at #1 on the Canadian RPM national album chart, and #12 on the US Billboard pop chart. The album marked Lightfoot's commercial zenith in a remarkable period of popularity which had begun with the 1970 hit, "If You Could Read My Mind". He would never again achieve the same level of commercial success. The album shot to popularity on the back of the haunting ballad, "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald", which told the story of the final hours of SS Edmund Fitzgerald which had sunk on Lake Superior in November 1975. The song remains popular to this day and has been credited with making the sinking of Edmund Fitzgerald the most famous maritime incident in the history of the Great Lakes. "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" reached #1 in Canada on November 20, 1976. In the US, it peaked at #2 on the pop chart and #50 on the country chart while "Race Among the Ruins" peaked at #65 on the pop chart.

The two classic albums reissued on this CD are from 1975 and 1976. While they didn't exactly set the world on fire, they DID leave the listener with no doubt as to just how talented the musicians that made up MFSB were and that they could tackle everything from Disco to Funk to Soul to MOR-Pop with grace, class and musical virtuosity. It's definitely great to have these classics on CDs as these albums capture the magic of the Philadelphia Soul sound at a time when it had truly reached its apex. Enjoy!

A great listening pleasure is guaranteed, whereby very rare titles alternate with nos-talgic summer hits. Really real summer hits are Eddie Cochran with 'Summertime Blues' and Jerry Keller with 'Here Comes Summer'. And then there's Brian Hyland, with two bombs: 'Summer Job' and of course the obligatory 'Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Polkadot Bikini'. Also for collectors there is a lot to see! Rare titles from the Bikinis and the Kittens, Doo-Wop songs from the Pearls, Chimes and Diamonds, Beach rarities from Dave York and Gene Gray and of course the title song 'Banana Split' from the McGuire Sisters!

Willie Nelson's album of pop standards, penned by America's legendary songwriting duo George and Ira Gershwin, follows the selection of Willie as the 2015 recipient of the Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song. Among the 11 Gershwin classics recorded by Willie Nelson for his new album are two duets: "Let's Call The Whole Thing Off" with Cyndi Lauper (the song was originally introduced by Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers in the 1937 film Shall We Dance) and "Embraceable You" with Sheryl Crow (the song was performed by Ginger Rogers in Girl Crazy, recorded by Billie Holiday in 1944 and inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2005).

"Summertime" is a 1998 collaboration single between British electronic music group Morcheeba and American jazz musician Hubert Laws. This was released on the China label.
