Sweetheart

Sweetheart Murders takes us into the wildly hypnotic, bold and glamorous world of L.A.'s fashion models. One by one, the models in the "American Sweethearts" video are being found dead with nothing on but a pink scarf tightly knotted around their necks and the "Sweethearts" video left playing on their television screens. The murders just keep coming and coming. While trying to stay one step ahead of the tabloids, Detective Byron Lipton scours the soft underbelly of the modeling game.

Radio singer Glory Eden is publicized as the ideal of American womanhood, in order to sell the sponsor's product Ippsie-Wippsie Washcloths. In reality, Glory would like to at least sample booze, jazz, gambling, and men. When the strain of representing "purity" brings her to rebellion, the sponsor and his nutty henchmen pick her a public-relations "sweetheart" from fan mail. But they soon find that young love is not to be trifled with. Includes spicy pre-Code episodes and satirical jabs at a variety of targets.

One freezing night in January 2004, Dolores McCrea left her home in Ballybulgan, Ireland and never came back. Police later found her car, but that was where the trail ended. The investigation led to the door of estranged husband Gary.
